The Face of Human Error

DEAF

I think I have just over a weeks worth of work on my next record “Come On Stupidity!” before it’s done, dusted and off to iTunes/Amazon etc.

It’s been a funny album to work on, an album that isn’t going to be what I set out to make.  It’s an album where I put my youth to bed in a way.  An album where I’m aware that this is my last chance to play.

This is a track that didn’t make the cut:

D.E.A.F. by The Face of Human Error

An idea from my late-teens. The notes are D E A F (spelling the word “deaf”, clearly) and the rhythm is Morse Code for D E A F (again, spelling deaf.) I wrote that idea down on a scrap of paper (probably while high) when I was around 18, found it a while ago and thought I’d go ahead and make it.

It was going to go on my next record “Come On Stupidity!” but there isn’t really a place for it.

Speaking of “Come On Stupidity!”, here’s a video for a track from the middle of the album - enjoy!

FWAP (my weekly podcast of musical bits and pieces) has continued broadcasting while I haven’t been updating this site.  Past episodes can still be found on iTunes under The Face of Human Error.

Here’s this weeks FWAP

Someday I’ll do an album of acoustic guitar pieces like this - except worked on and refined - not improvised like this.
